We dedicated ourselves to the analysis of dramatic text in the space, got to know the characters more deeply, tackled the acting tools, the interaction with the partner; we focused on exploring the space and this exploration brought us to different atmospheres and at times even to intuitive solutions. We put our bet on the mesmerising, contagious "theatre perfume” – T H E A T M O S P H E R E, which either supports the stage action or at times may also drive it over, annihilate it … just
like in life. We searched for ways how to expose and intensify actions, how to weave the whole, draw the arch of the story and, above all, we began to pour into the text the life of the 19th- and 20th-century Russians. We were discovering the magic of theatre just like in Nina Zarechna’s words:
"Now I realise that in what concerns our thing – no matter if we act on the stage or we write – the most important thing is not the fame or the glamour, not those things I dreamt about. The most important thing is that you know how to suffer, to carry your own cross and to have faith. I have faith and it doesn’t hurt so badly and when I think about my mission I am not afraid of life.”
