A reclusive dwelling somewhere in the forest near a state border. This is home to a young woman and her mysteriously ailing husband. They are poor and modest at first glance, but in reality a prosperous and cunning couple. Somewhere inside the house there is a treasure acquired through smuggling. Thinking about their wealth and imminent move to the city lifts the young woman's spirits and fills her empty, dull and solitary days. However, with the coming of the new superintendent of the border crossing, a new plan is put in place: an attractive border guard is to be sent to the couple with the task of seducing the young woman and extracting from her information about the secret treasure. The husband, on the other hand, talks his wife into doing just the opposite: using her charm to seduce and tame the border guard. Too soon, the story exceeds the planned framework and changes, unexpectedly brutally, the destinies of the three protagonists, literally sucking them in and transforming them completely.
