A biographic play on the Nightingale of Gorica who yearned and poured his heart into poems over a hundred years ago, He Who Fares Alone … is a story of the rises and falls of a deeply contemplative and deeply emotional man who felt for everything that surrounded him. The life path of a poet, unusually soul-stirring for a priest, reflects the spirit of the time in which the desire is born for national unity and the struggle for survival of the Slovenian language. Constant creative crisis and
depressions caused the ever-deteriorating health condition, which eventually brought to his death. And like a sunray, all this is radiated with the unfulfilled yet never forgotten feelings for a girl, which brought to daylight the most wonderful love poems.
